cup of murder. James D. Worley, born April 8, 1959 in Tacoma, Washington, graduated from high

school in Metamora, Ohio in 1978, and from there on out, held, and lost, various odd jobs.

A poor student, James claimed his early problems stemmed from his use of marijuana, smoking and selling from the age of just 14. In 1990, things took a violent turn

when he ambushed a young woman who was out riding her bike in White House, Ohio.

Striking Robin Gardner with his car, James bludgeoned her head, placed her in handcuffs,

and held a screwdriver to her throat while threatening to kill her if she kept screaming.

While trying to force her into his vehicle, Robin managed to get away and was picked up by a passing motorist.

He was arrested, convicted on abduction charges, and sentenced to four to ten years in prison.

He ended up just serving three.

He was sent back behind bars in 2000, this time for cultivating marijuana plants and possessing weapons while on disability, and was released in 2002,

after again petitioning for his own early release.
