The story of Roger Sweet begins with a chilling scene that set off a chain of events

no one could have anticipated. On January 8, 2007, around 10 a.m., the Brownstown Fire Department

responded to a fire at Roger and Lizzie Mae Collier Suite's home on Don Don Shire Street in Brownstown Township, Michigan.

The fire was emitting very heavy smoke covering the entire street.

As the fire department worked to extinguish the flames,
