As you likely know, Mariah recently put out a memoir called The Meaning of

Mariah Carey written with Michaela Angela Davis. I wrote about it a couple weeks ago.

Mariah has made great pop cast fodder previously and so on this

week's episode we are going to catch up with Mariah at MC30 the 30th

anniversary of her debut album just get a little faint thinking about

vision of love even now. Mariah is incredibly important to me as a young person. Her music was central to my

understanding of pop. Her version of I'll be there on the MTV Unplugged series

with Trey Lorenz. It's just one of my favorite pieces of music of all time.

And I'm committed to high-level Mariah discourse.

It's why I thought so hard about the book.

And it's why on this week's episode,

we are going to talk to Allison Davis.
