So I am really glad to be able to read a story today about food. Well, the memory of food anyway. Have you ever

taken a bite of something and just been transported back in your memory to another place, a set of people.

Maybe it's even a memory that was previously lost to you, something that was so far back and buried that you were completely surprised

when it resurfaced.

The many taste grooves of the Chang family is about a family who's dealing with their father's dementia and failing memory.

They are Taiwanese-American, so they call him Ba, and Ba asks his children for a device that can recreate tastes based on memories and his children humor him.

And then something unexpected happens.

It's by the Asian American writer and software engineer,

Allison King, whose stories have appeared in Fantasy magazine, diabolical plots, and years best

fantasy among others.

She's also a 2023 Reese's Book Club lit up fellow.
