The Mark of a Man. Later in the program it's a story about a guy who's looking to make his mark as a man,

The story was originally produced for the Transom Story Workshop out of Woods Hole in Massachusetts,

where beginning radio producers learn techniques and skills from veteran producers.

Woods Hole is a beautiful place of course.

It's on the harbor, fairies going back and forth to Martha's Vineyard.

It's a center for marine science research.

But for a already been interviewed several times for other stories.

Well, last fall, a transom student named Emily Shao had a deadline approaching

and she was looking for a good idea.

I was actually a little bit behind schedule. Some story ideas I had weren't working out.

So she did what a lot of people do when they're searching for something.

She looked on Craigslist.

Throughout the workshop, I had been checking Craigslist pretty regularly.
