Jody Christine Perrick was born September 2nd, 1996.

In St. Joseph County, Michigan.

Her mother, Joe, told WSBT that Jody was beautiful inside and out.

She was always happy. She always wanted to help.

She liked to cook. She loved animals.

She liked to fish and play dress up.

She was a princess and a tomboy.

All wrapped up in one.

November 8th, 2007 was a typical day for 11-year-old Jody.

She went to school at Riverside Elementary where she was a fifth grade student.

After school, she played over at a friend's house.

At around 445, Jody was seen riding her bike back to her house, which was less than half a mile away.

But Jody never made it home.

When she wasn't back by her 530 curfew, her mother knew something was wrong.

She told WSBT it was not like Jody.
