At 4 o'clock, Harry received a phone call from Sally saying that she had been kidnapped

and that Harry needed to comply with the kidnapper's instructions if she was to be released unharmed. Sally Weiner was born Sally Elaine Stroh on May 4, 1951 in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Around 1975, Sally married Harry Weiner, and they had two children together a son followed a few years later by a daughter

Sally and Harry reportedly had a good marriage and the winers were a typical all-American family.

Harry worked for Penn Bank and in 1987 his work moved the family from Erie to Corrie, about a 30 minute drive away, so Harry could manage the branch located in the Corrie Plaza.

The family had been active members of their church in Erie, so one of the first things they did in Corey was join a congregation.

They joined the local First Presbyterian Church,

In addition to taking part in church activities, Sally was on the parent teacher council, and Harry was in charge of a United Way campaign.
