Hi everybody this is God's had a few days ago on August 29th I posted the following

tweet I think that it is callous cruel and diabolical to post gleeful

tweets about anti-vaccine people who died of COVID.

It shows an immeasurably cold heart, be decent.

We might disagree with their positions, but don't dance on their graves for f's sake. Have some humanity.

Well, since then I found out that my good buddy Joe Rogin has contracted COVID, he announced it on his Instagram feed, and I quickly check to see that many of his detractors were engaging in all sorts of, you know,

responses that are less than savory. In some cases they as if they are disappointed that you

know he hasn't succumbed to the illness because if he had then they could

really use a big fish to be gleeful about his demise.

In other cases you know the controversial anti-Vaxer is taking, you know, a horse tranquilizer. So you see here how a, of course COVID is serious. Of course we should treat it with due respect. Of course we should treat it with due respect.

Of course we should follow the science.

Nobody's questioning that.

But you see what happens when people become politicized

in their tribalism. It's no longer about talking about the science or talking

about issues like the freedom for people to have autonomy over their bodies, even when we're dealing with communicable diseases.

Think about other viruses that were communicable.

We certainly didn't engage in this type of political hysteria in those cases. If anything, it would have been viewed as very

phobic to do that for previous communicable diseases that we have faced in our recent past.

And so there are worthy positions that are reasonable for people to hold.

Yesterday I went to a cafe to work on my latest book

and I, for the first time, ever had to show an electronic vaccine passport.

Now some people were upset at me, how dare you acquiesce to that?
