0:08.9	little message about the OCD camp. You'll often hear me talk about this each year. So it's an annual
0:14.2	camping retreat that I've run since 2018. And this year it is in the end of May and it will be in Surrey in the UK. It's for people 18 and over
0:26.3	with OCD of course. And the camp is run by the therapy centre I co-run the integrative
0:33.0	centre for OCD therapy. The camp was really originally created as a way of bringing people together with OCD so they
0:39.7	can share their stories, connect, make friends, connections, just for a few days, be with each
0:48.2	other without having to explain what intrusive thoughts are, what OCD is, what compulsion
0:52.9	is, knowing that each other
0:54.5	kind of just gets one another and also see across themes that we have this similar thread,
0:59.9	which is OCD, right? And the themes are just kind of what's trying to distract us from the core
1:05.4	issues or core processes of OCD. In it, we do sort of a high ropes activity to get a bit of adrenaline,
1:12.9	but also kind of team bonding. We do skills exercises, fun activities in a woodland setting.
1:20.6	The camp is not therapy or a replacement for therapy. However, we do practice some therapy skills.
1:26.1	There'll be a small amount of ERP there, which is entirely
1:28.5	optional. We'll do acceptance commitment therapy skills, compassion focus skills, so you have
1:35.3	something to go away with and practice and take back to your own therapy and therapists. So yeah,
1:41.5	the camp is always a highlight of my year. There'll be three therapists
1:45.7	present and one support staff. So therapists are myself, Johnny Say, who would have heard on the podcast,
1:51.5	and he's the co-director of our centre, and Emma Roselli, who is one of the therapists at our
1:56.2	centre. She's also been on the podcast. So a friendly bunch, friendly staff, then there's eight campers.
2:03.8	So a small group, we like to keep it intimate, give everyone plenty of time to connect,
