Hey everybody welcome back to cold case murder mysteries. I'm your host Ryan Kraus

returning for a quick look at a baffling mystery that remains unsolved, which is the disappearance of Josh Gimon.

On November 9, 2002, shortly before midnight, the 20-year-old college student left a party at St. John's

University in Stern County, Minnesota, and was never seen again.

20 years later, there is still no evidence related to where he went or what might have happened

to him along the way.

He simply vanished.

And since the clues in this case don't lead to his fate, let's take a look inside his head,

to the best of our ability, and see if we can extract a psychological profile that lends insight to his movements that fateful night.

So let's start back at the beginning, before going to college.

Josh was a driven high school student, someone who not only had dreams of becoming a state representative,

like a family member had achieved before him, but also the President of the United States.

On a more short-term basis, he wanted to enter the realm of law and follow his

pursuit of a bachelor's degree at St. John's by attending law school.

At the time of his disappearance, he was already on a pre-law educational path

and was preparing for a mock trial with other students. In high school, it seems Josh was popular and funny, voted most likely to succeed, and in his sophomore year caught the eye of a classmate named Katie, someone he ended up dating for the remainder of his high school years.

The two were serious about each other and their education as it pertained to their future

together.
