Imagine. You are 11 years old and are walking through the edge of a dense forest in southern

Missouri, just on the outskirts of the small town where you live.

The ground crunches under your feet as you traverse the fallen leaves, rocks, and lush green grass.

A light wind rustles the leaves on the canopy of trees above you.

You are headed somewhere only you know, your own secret little

garden. You follow a row of river birch trees along a muddy creek until you come to a clearing.

There, just beyond the clearing is your garden. It's filled with all sorts of colorful flowers and shrubs you found in the woods.

You take a deep, cleansing breath.
