1:20.0 | So one of the things that I learned about during my trip to Romania was the recent |
1:26.6 | revival of astrology over the past 30 years after the revolution that took place in 1989, and that's kind of the focus or a large |

1:39.2 | present. So what happened is that while there were a few astrology books published in Romania in the early 20th century |
1:47.3 | right around the time that astrology was being revived in other Western countries after a long |
1:56.7 | slumber of a few centuries after it fell out of sort of intellectual usage after the Renaissance. |
2:01.2 | So although there were some books published in Romania in the early 20th century, |
2:04.6 | after World War II Romania was taken over by the communists of course, |
2:09.8 | and during that time astrology became outlawed and was no longer permissible. |
2:15.0 | And part of the background behind that is that in the Soviet Union, they promoted |
2:20.0 | atheism and were generally against religions and religious practices in general. |
