It's myself Mark Crossfield and Lus Stagner talking today about the PGA tour rule change around

yardage books and green reading books, which will come into effect on January 1, 2022.

It's a fun discussion because it's hard to get your head around the decision.

While at the same time, there is some logic to what they're trying to do,

but I don't know, let's get into the meat of it.

It should be a fun one.

Lou, they're being banned.

Green reading books are being banned,

and I've got in front of me beginning of Jan 2022 during competition

rounds players and caddies will only be able to use committee approved yardage books so the yardage

books will change and there's more to this rule as we'll read on and green reading books are

in effect as I read it going is that that how you read it? Just interpret the

rule for us, Lou, a little bit. What is that, that's a, that's a briefing of what it is.

Is it, am I right there? Yeah, but it gets confusing because they go on to say that handwritten

notes that could assist with reading the line of play on the putting green
