In this edition, I'm in the Highlands, visiting a project which aims to reconnect children with the past

with the aim of making them more resilient in the future.

The Sheeling project was conceived by Sam Harrison, and it's situated in a really beautiful location near Buley.

We're looking down Glenstraffarra, straight to the west it runs from the east of the west, almost to the west coast. So we're looking into the old remnants of the Caledonian pine wood there, which has been here since the glaciers scrape this place clean.

We're looking at Benevacet, the mountain of the high bier, so that's where I had a bunch

of sheilings up in the cori there.

If we turn around now, face east, down to the ground where the Sheeling Project is underneath,

down out to Struhe and Buley, towards the Buley Firth.

And then just underneath the horizon we've got our nearest

sheiling site so that's where they would have taken the cows in the summer.

We found 27 different huts or structures there when we did an archaeological dig

there a few years back and that's where folk would have lived for the summer.
