Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!
This week Pip is joined by podcast pal and Hardcore Listing homie STU WHIFFEN to celebrate the life of one of the most unconventional but most memorable soundpeople in the game, who sadly passed on in the middle of this year - SOUNDMAN JIM!
You'll notice that there are exclamation marks still present there on the intro words. Well, to anyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with Jim, you'd know that while his absence is incredibly sad and is mourned in full, his presence in life was one to truly enjoy and always brought light and laughter to those around to absorb it. In this episode, you'll hear a nice few anecdotes about Pip and Stu's experiences working and socialising with the legendary human, and while this isn't someone who is a celebrity, famous, or a name that everyone will recognise, it's a really lovely chance to be let in on a side of life that you might not otherwise see. I'm sure we all have some kind of iteration of a Jim in our lives, whoever that may be for you, so you might relate and really enjoy hearing about the man, but if not, feel free to join in on hearing about someone who genuinely meant a lot to many people and was such a big part in a lot of folks careers - including the old Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip days! RIP SOUNDMAN JIM X
