Summary

In episode five of The Springfield Three, we look at some of the potential suspects that emerge in this case. We talk about Steve Garrison, who is serving 40 years in prison for raping, sodomizing, and terrorizing a female college student in Springfield, Missouri in the summer of 1993, just a year after the three women went missing. There’s Larry DeWayne Hall, a serial killer and Civil War buff who traveled to the area often. Also, Gerald Carnahan, who murdered beauty-queen Jackie Johns from Nixa, Missouri—just a few minutes outside of Springfield. And finally, there’s Robert Craig Cox, a convicted murderer who claims to know exactly where the three women are buried—but won’t reveal this until his own mother dies.

0:57.2	remembered seeing a blonde girl who looked frightened, driving a van, being told something. And that
1:08.4	became a lead. And for a while, there weren't theories or that they spoke about because really they were just, they were running around the city.
1:21.5	So here's where we left off.
1:23.7	The entire town now knows about the three missing women.
1:26.7	Search and rescue has been sent to comb the region, and there are thousands of tips that have since been phoned into the police.
1:32.6	There was the gas station clerk who said he saw the women that night.
1:36.2	And there was a waitress at Georgia's Steakhouse who reported seeing the women with three men between one and three a.m.
1:43.4	And there was the van, a theory that just about anyone who was alive in
1:47.0	that town during the time would remember. Even with a replica of the van, parked outside the
