In episode five of The Springfield Three, we look at some of the potential suspects that emerge in this case. We talk about Steve Garrison, who is serving 40 years in prison for raping, sodomizing, and terrorizing a female college student in Springfield, Missouri in the summer of 1993, just a year after the three women went missing. There’s Larry DeWayne Hall, a serial killer and Civil War buff who traveled to the area often. Also, Gerald Carnahan, who murdered beauty-queen Jackie Johns from Nixa, Missouri—just a few minutes outside of Springfield. And finally, there’s Robert Craig Cox, a convicted murderer who claims to know exactly where the three women are buried—but won’t reveal this until his own mother dies.Â
