That's right we're joined by filmmaker Raul Zaki to talk about his film The Son of the

11th hour which highlights the amazing testimony and amazing story of these very

famous martyrs. 21 martyrs of Libya, pray for us. All right this is going to be an amazing episode a very of course

iconic image you know anytime we get to discuss a martyr we enter into the suffering, the pain, and also the

faith and witness and testimony that is given to all of us and so being able to do this with you, Ralph, as a filmmaker, it's really just a perfect

setting for us to dive into, for our

faith, the things that we can gain as Christians for their witness to our faith.

Yeah, you know, I think like you said, this is a really iconic image.

The men in orange, you you know sitting on that beach the blood of their martyrdom

mixing with the waves of the tide it's it calls back in a very real way the martyrdom of the early church.

You know, you hear about these martyrs, you know,

in the Coliseum or, you know, being martyred by the Roman persecution and it seems so distant and it seems like stories in a book.

But then you see the real thing happening and you see that these are real people and

martyrdom is a very real, very visceral and very powerful thing.

And to see that that's still happening and that there's men who have the courage and the conviction of faith to suffer that ordeal in this world in today's
