Welcome to office hours. I'm David Meltzer, and I am super excited, not just because I have the best

co-hosts in the world on this show in season seven, but I am blessed to have our first guest.

I know you three are excited as well. This man has written more books than most people have read.

He sold more books than most people have seen. Uh, but it's interesting how his bio

reads because you don't see chicken soup for the soul anywhere in the bio. Uh, Jack to me is

definitely a teacher, a storyteller beyond belief, a life changer for me, like Sharon Lector as

well. I got two of my life changing mentors here, but I love one of the

attributes in his bio, which is truth seeker. I love that. I love that. And so I'm going to start

there first by welcoming the amazing Jack Canfield. Welcome to office hours. Thank you. Glad to be with you.

All right, Jack, you've accomplished so much in your life and we don't need to go through

the long list because we don't have that much time of all the great accolades.

I want to know about this truth-seeking thing.

When has that become such a priority in your journey that it becomes the title of your bio as a truth seeker.

Well, it's interesting.

I think probably back in graduate school when I was studying to be an educator, a teacher,

I taught history in school for a lot of years.

And I really wanted how the world worked.

What was the truth?

What was the truth about religion, spirituality? How

does the government really work? Not what they teach you in a civics class, as we know all too well

today. And so I just wanted to know, because if you knew then you could relate to it and be more

effective in the world. And so through, you know, reading, I've read over 3,000 books, I've taken 600 seminars,
