My name is David Chen, I'm the managing editor at slash film.com, and joining me today, he is the man who played Edwin Adelson on Law and Order Special Victims Unit, Stephen Tobolowski.

Stephen, how are you doing today, sir?

David Chen, I am so happy to hear your voice again.

And you know, I'm not, you know, I get a lot of emails.

And you people may know this because you send them into me

about how you massacre my name every week.

Oh, that's right.

Someone has given me a hard time for mispronouncing your name every single week.

And I'm going to have it as part of a podcast story, but just to just to kind of calm down the the angry

angry feelings out there in the public is that I myself am not really sure how

to pronounce my name and you'll see how this ties in with

Edward Adelson. I always thought my name was Toboloski but people in my family

say Tobolovsky, Tobolovsky, Tobolovsky, I've never been really sure.

And I found out some very interesting things about names, David.

And this has to do with Toboloski.

Is that when my grandfather came over from the old country,

he came from an area of Poland in which you only had a first name, and his name

was Abraham.

And when the Poles decided to institute a national tax, they added on the area from which you came, which would be

Abraham Tobolovskov, and that was his name, Abraham Tobolovskov, that means he was
