Times Building to make his vision come to life. A mansion that, by the time it was complete, cost over $4 million,

over $50 million in today's money. Unbothered, Edward had money to spare. You see, Mr. Doheny

was a successful oil tycoon, who discovered oil back in 1892 near the Libreia Tar Pits,

who was one of the richest men in America, and whose only real rival was John D. Rockefeller

himself. A man who you may recognize as the inspiration behind the Academy Award-winning film,

There Will Be Blood.
