Summary

For weeks, 36-year-old Joan Rogers and her two teenage daughters, Michelle and Christe, had eagerly awaited summer break so that they could embark on their first vacation outside their home state of Ohio. The trio set out to enjoy the sandy beaches of Florida, but the trip soon took a deadly turn. On June 4th, 1989, their bodies were found hogtied and undressed, floating in Tampa Bay. Retired FBI Special Agent Jana Monroe worked on the case from beginning to end. She details the barriers she broke which ultimately led to her work on the investigation, and later shares how she was able to catch the man responsible for the heinous killings: Oba Chandler. Jana had an illustrious career within the FBI. As the first female to earn a position in the Bureau's elite Behavioral Sciences Unit, she profiled many notorious killers and violent criminals for various law enforcement agencies. She later served as Special Agent In Charge in the FBI's field offices in Los Angeles, CA, and Phoenix AZ. She also served as the first Assistant Director of the FBI Cyber Division.
