Elbert Eugene Spriggs was born on May 18th, 1937 in East Ridge, Tennessee.

So let's get into some history for that time.

On June 1st, 19th, time.

On June 1st, 1937, Amelia Earhart and her flight navigator, Fred Noonan took off from Miami to attempt

around the world flight.

And after traveling 22,000 miles, they took off from New Guinea for about the last 7,000 miles or so. On her last recorded radio broadcast, she was heard saying, quote,
