I have this one very impossible thing on my bucket list.

Now hear me out for a second because you might agree with me,

but I would love nothing more than to get to explore another planet.

Here's why it's impossible, though.

I mean, aside from the science of it all,

getting on a spaceship and traveling through the great wide open, never-ending expanse of space does not appeal to me, like, at all.

But I stumbled upon something in the news recently that kind of got me thinking, what if there was a way to travel from world to world without a spaceship?

I mean, you've probably caught a glimpse of the headlines on social media.

They're called monoliths, these giant mirrored slabs that have been popping up in the most random locations since 2020, usually in the middle of nowhere.

They are all over the world.

Finland, Germany, Turkey, Morocco.
