Meanwhile, churning atop the mountains rising up so dramatically to the west,

another winter storm was at work.

Right above us all.

I looked at the National Weather Service reports,

and there was heavy rain and street flooding on the

inland empire side of the mountains.

More wind lashing the California coastline, more snow piling up in the Sierra.
