We are coming to you from a point in time.

Every point in time over the last many days

has been its own year. Every second is a year. At the same time there is no time.

I take that back. Well, let let's time stamp it because I think that

will be important as people listen to this because they'll know that we're trying

to record this as as close to drop time as we possibly can, but because so much is changing

so quickly in these days since the presidential election, who knows what will be by the time you are listening to this.

So it is Thursday afternoon, it is just after 4 o'clock in the east, it is 1 p.m. in the west, and maybe we got a new president this evening maybe we get one on

Friday maybe it takes weeks but so much has changed and nothing has changed since we last talked a week ago, Joe.

And I think what, there are a couple of things that are very, very clear even though so much remains unclear in this landscape.

The thing that I think is clearest is, I will quote from our good buddy Nick Billton when I say,

fuck the mother-fucking polls that we have a real

polling and pundit problem in this country that has been evident over the last few days.

That certainly was the case in 2016.

We had been assured by those famous pollsters

that they had learned from the air of their ways.

What is clear is that they do not learn enough.

And we have a lot of work to do if we ever want to rely on polls again.

I don't know that we should or can.
