It feels as if we are in a sort of waiting room of history. It feels as if we are in this

0:08.2

transitional period where we're waiting for something to give. We know something has to give.

0:15.9

The status quo is untenable and unsustainable, but yet it remains. It persists. And it is this sort of dissident

0:25.9

feeling that I have, that I think a lot of you probably have, where we see a fundamentally

0:34.7

irrational, corrupt, delegitimized system that most people reject on some level

It feels very meaningless. I remember in 2016, you know, I was

1:49.3

no fan of Hillary Clinton, absolutely hated her. My criticisms of the Democratic Party were

1:55.2

fully up and operating. But when Trump got elected, I remember there was this, this emotional shock.

2:04.2

Protests erupted around the country. I remember having anxiety when I woke up in the morning

2:12.1

and I saw that that Trump had won, like physical, visceral anxiety about what's going to happen.

2:18.4

It felt new.

2:19.4

It felt sort of, you know, scary.

2:21.5

I was organizing at that time.
