And I'm Hadley Mendelsohn. If you're new here, each episode we dig into the backstory of a haunted house or otherwise notorious home and unpack all of the events that led to its eventual infamy. In our last episode, we discussed 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey, also known as the Watcher House.

On June 5, 2014, just three days after closing on their new home, Derek and Maria Broadus began receiving

threatening letters from an anonymous stalker who called themselves The Watcher. The letters were so

creepy that the Bratuses never moved into the house, and they struggled for years to find

someone brave enough to buy it. Though the house finally sold in 2019, to this day, the watcher has

never been identified.

So last week we went over everything, the letters, findings from both the official and

unofficial investigations, all of the issues that the broadest is dealt with when they tried to

sell the house, and a rundown of the former owners and closest neighbors at the time the letters
