It's still such a surreal thing for me to be a part of this beautiful process of writing books.

I love writing because in the writing process I discover so much about myself, about my own journey, about my own questions.

And each book along the way has come from a different place, a different part of my own journey, and not just my journey, but the journey of the people whose lives I'm impacted by and who I come across along the way.

This book came in sort of along the way.

This book came in sort of an unusual way,

at least it's beginning.

My wife Kim and I were driving through Hollywood

going down Vine, and if you've been married for 35 years, there's a lot of times you're driving and neither one of you are talking.

You're just both thinking about different things, but you're together.

And as we're driving together in a moment of reflection,

I cannot explain it any other way but I heard

this voice inside of my soul.
