We're going to do this because a hundred years from now the church needs to be powerful and

impossible to ignore. The church needs to be undeniable in our city of Los Angeles.

There are just too many people who come here

so gifted, so talented, so fragile.

And I'm telling you, Los Angeles needs what we have to offer.

And we need to let our city know, we're not going anywhere.

We're here to stay.

So we've been joining together through the way of the warrior

and each week unwrapping one code after another.

And tonight we get to code seven.

The warrior becomes one with all things.

When I wrote those words, I felt a little bit unnerved.

I knew that it would send me into a

turbulent waters.

It's one of those moments again where my

amazing wife Kim will look at me and say,

you sound way too Buddhist.

And I put you sound way too Buddhist and I push back and I say you sound way too Western.

See I think one of the dilemmas is that tonight I need to violate your view of reality.

Especially if you're here and you're a person who would identify yourself as a Christian.

I think one of the most difficult things in the world is to help a

Christian unwrapped beliefs they have that are actually not biblical. One of the most challenging things in the world is to peel away a tradition so that we can actually get to truth.
