Brian Slipka is the owner of the True North Family of Companies, which includes well over twenty companies with combined revenues of nearly a quarter-billion dollars annually. Slipka graduated from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, and his early career included sales and leadership positions at major publicly traded companies. Trusting in the Win Some Framework, he left the public/corporate world and focused on his growing portfolio of small businesses. As the CEO and managing partner, Slipka leads a group of diverse Main Street organizations, as well as their philanthropic arm, True North Family Foundation. He also serves on the boards of several for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Slipka credits his faith, commitment to servant leadership, and ability to build trusting relationships as the bedrock of his success. He resides in Minnesota with his wife, Megan, and their two children.

Can you take us back to just beginning when you first started your life, your journey, teenager, were you interested in business all the way back then?

Yeah for sure. Well first off, well it's kind of words of you to say but you know as we'll talk about later

our inner thoughts right but no I'm a I um, grew up in a, you know, middle class suburban neighborhood of the Twin Cities, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, moved to the Twin Cities at a young age.

rolled the boat, you know, as you and I both know. And I know that's, you know, gophers are near and dear to you as well
