I think I say this at the top of just about every episode, but in this episode I genuinely

mean it that I'm actually very excited about this episode because this is a landmark publication that the two of you have done.

And I think this is something that I've been wanting to see a translation of the works of Theophilus

of Odessa for at least 10 years now since 2006, 2007,

and especially after David Pingree died in 2005,

who had been working on a critical edition of Theophilus, I kind of didn't think we would ever see it happen anytime in the near future or potentially even in my lifetime, but you guys have come through with an amazing new landmark translation of essentially all of the existing texts that survive from this important pivotal figure from the 8th century.
