Hello everyone and welcome back to the Happy Tones podcast. I'm your host Joey Kidney and I'm very

happy you're here. There's no secret that I've been away for a little bit and I'm just going to get right to it.

I've been doing this podcast for six to seven to eight years now.

Oh my gosh, it's been a while.

And I absolutely love it.

I still really, really enjoy it, but I want to take it to the next level and so what

does that next level look like for me I know a lot of you really enjoy that I just

sit down and I talk with myself and it feels like we're

having this like this conversation between you and I and I love it. But I mean the reality is I'm sitting here talking to myself and as much fun as it is and

I really enjoy that it helps a lot of you. I haven't been able to see a lot of growth in this podcast in the last, I want to say five

years, and it just keeps kind of coming back to me being like, we need to be challenging ourselves in order to grow. I recently

posted a new YouTube video on that and it was a tough love conversation that I

had with my girlfriend and it made me realize a lot of things, right?

We need to be a little bit uncomfortable in order to get to where we want to be.

And I don't exactly know what I want to be,

but I know I want to make some changes and you can help this isn't something that's

going to exclude you if anything this includes you even more I've had a lot of

requests to have guests on the podcast, but I'll be honest with you.

I don't care to interview another influencer or an artist or somebody that's just going to be promoting themselves.

I don't think it's that helpful.

And the reason why is because there's a thousand other podcasts that are doing that. And that's not who I want to be and that's not really

something that I'm that passionate about. I'd be okay with talking to them as a friend but at the end of the day
