Summary

Tonight’s guest, Fred Bettencourt, founded Red River Bigfoot Investigations in 2003, and for the first 3 years he and his team members were doing field research, they didn’t have a single Sasquatch-related experience. That all changed in 2006, however. You see, from 2003 until 2006, Fred and his team members followed the practices they saw Sasquatch researchers use on tv. After growing frustrated by their lack of results, they decided to change the way they went about doing things, in the field. Not long after implementing new techniques, they finally had their first experience with a Sasquatch, in 2007. Their experience happened in the infamous Boggy Creek area, of all places. 0:30.5	in New York and Oklahoma. And my crew members, they were awesome.

0:40.0	I got one left, but he lost his feet from diabetes so now I'm on my own.
0:51.0	I haven't done anything since but I'm going to tell you right now.
0:55.0	What I went through and our crew was crazy.
1:10.1	We were on Boggie Creek, the famous Boggie Creek, about eight to ten miles north of a Tokyo, Oklahoma.
1:16.0	And we got there, and this is our first couple of years
1:20.4	because we actually started in 2003 and we were watching these bed put shows we
1:28.8	were watching anything we could and what actually happened was the first three years up until like
1:37.8	2006 we were going off what these shows were doing and we got nothing nothing in our first three years and finally I called my crew together.
1:52.7	I said, listen, we got to think outside the box here.
1:56.8	We're bringing all this equipment, we're doing everything.
2:01.1	And nothing's happening. the reason why and this is what I figured out and this is why everything just catapulted after that
2:10.6	From what we got was we cut out all the electronics. The only thing we did was
2:18.4	strap motion cameras to the trees and that was it. We got rid of everything else and then in 2007 we was on
2:30.5	boggi creep. We'd actually been there three, four times.
2:34.4	And I think this was our fourth time that we did.
2:38.6	We decided to go outside the box and you got to do that. We brought fishing poles and we brought a grill.
