In the past several weeks, I feel like we've done deep dives. I don't know. I feel like you've heard enough from me.

And I wanted to do a more casual, fun, conversational episode with The Gal Pal. That's what my favorite podcasts are like.

I want to feel like I'm sitting in on a conversation. And I like listening to people that are

actually friends instead of interviews or promotional stuff. So it had been a while since we had

Sammy Sage from Betches on. She's one of the co-founder of Betches Media. She is whipsmart, so helpful on the internet to so many with, you know, her devotion to democracy. She wrote Democracy in Retrograde, which last time she was on the pot was with her and Emily Amick, Emily and your phone to go over, you know,

civic engagement, something that we all need to do more of myself included. But anyway, this conversation

is super fun. And I mean, I hope you don't mind. I like historically we'll dodge having

conversations that on the outside I could see people being like this is obnoxiously out of touch.

But as I talked about in the Megan Markle episode, I'm just kind of over that criticism when,

you know, inside of an escapist medium, sometimes that's the goal.

It doesn't mean we're all one way.

We can contain multitudes.

Sometimes I love to hear people kind of vacillate between more serious topics and, you know,

innocuous ones.

And I really like this episode because we have important conversations.

We actually, toward the end, if you haven't watched it yet, though, it's not really a spoiler

show.

It's about a broader issue and it tells you what happened right at the beginning, adolescence.

It's the number one show on Netflix right now.

We talk about that toward the end, and that's, like, much more serious about the implications of, you know, in-cell woman hating, Andrew Tate
