Beth and her co-pilot Jody Knowles won the $50,000 first prize in the 2017 Hemmings Motor News Great Race,

which is a point-to-point timed rally race,

an old-fashioned rally race,

and they were in an old-fashioned 32 Ford,

and they won it all using their brains

and some pretty modest equipment.

And we have a speedometer, a sweep clock,

with second-hand sweepclog, and a stopwatch, and that's the only three devices we have a speedometer, a sweep clock with, you know, secondhand sweep club, and a stopwatch.

But first up, Rick Schmidt is on to talk about the fun of what a concourse to elegance can bring.

And then he nicely answers some of my dumber questions too.
