This week our guest is Tom Reitler of Mid-Atlantic Muscle Cars.

Tom is an expert in OEM quality restorations of Chevelles.

Well, Chevelle specifically, he is known in the Chevelle's circles as the top and accurate

restorer, and what's interesting is that

while his mechanical skills came from experience, like a lot of us, his body work didn't.

He, on his own dime, took community college classes to learn the trade while still work in his day

job, and he did it primarily because he was sick of the frustration of dealing with other body

shops. He hated paint

jail. We've all heard of it. So in this interview, we're going to talk about Chauvel, 64 to 72,

73 to 77, even the 78 and up G bodies. Tom has a generally, by the way. We'll talk about

that as well. But what's really interesting is he opened his shop in March of 2020 during the start of the

pandemic, the official start.

He had two years of work already lined up, though, because he'd been doing it as side hustle

work.

Turned out it was just what the doctor ordered for him.

Well, the way everything went down when I left my other job, it was kind of a blessing in disguise.

When I left there and I came down here for the first day into my shop, it instantly went away.
