Our guest is Mike Joy, lead broadcaster for NASCAR on Fox.

Mike has been a staple in broadcasting coverage for racing in one form or another for many of our

lifetimes. And this is the story of going from calling races at a small track in Connecticut

to calling to big races on Sunday and almost just keeping his part-time gig changing tires

at a local service station. We're going to hit the big questions like this.

We have three manufacturers involved in NASCAR.

We have another one coming for 2027.

But also about his passion for cars.

He's a driver too.

And then the tale of NASCAR on Fox,

starting with the combination of Mike, Darrell, and Larry.

As Darrell quickly set it up, he says,

okay, he's the driver.

Larry's the crew chief.

I'm the car owner.

Yeah. All right. Let's see what we can do. And with that kind of direction, we didn't have anything to argue about.

Larry couldn't drive a hot nail through a snowbank, you know? I didn't know which way to turn the wrench to make the car go.

And Darrell, you couldn't argue with Darrell.
