What's up everyone? This is Alex Lieberman, co-founder and executive chairman of Morning Brew.

0:05.6

Welcome back to Founders Journal, my personal audio diary, where I give you the business builder,

0:11.3

the tools you need to think better in order to build better, whether that's building a business,

0:16.2

a team, or a new product. Today, I'm sharing two of my favorite lessons from my current founders

0:22.0

book Club Book, which is How Will You Measure Your Life by Clayton Christensen, James Allworth,

0:28.0

and Karen Dillon. Let's hop into it.

0:34.0

So for those of you that recently hopped on the Founders Journal train, you may have not heard

0:39.0

the episode where I talked about my book club probably three months ago. I started a Founders

but he is known for so many of his different theories, including jobs to be done, which I actually

1:25.6

think I did a past Founders Journal on as well as innovators dilemma. And the really cool thing about

1:31.5

this is the other two authors. I was able to connect with them on Twitter. And so I think we're

1:36.3

going to actually have them join our book club discussion. And so without further ado, I want to

1:41.2

share two of my favorite lessons from reading the book so far. The first is this idea of strategy.

1:48.7

When you're in the word strategy, what do you think of? Maybe you think of Ben Thompson, who writes

1:53.8

trajectory. Maybe you think of a company's quote-unquote game plan that they set years in advance.

2:00.5

I want to tell you how Clayton Christensen and the other authors of this book think about strategy.
