Folks every now and then comes an era when a bunch of new cartridges are designed and dumped into the market and

Candidly in most cases the bulk of them fail that's not true of what's happened in the last 15 years or so.

Now let's go back to 2008 when the 6-5 Creedmoor came out.

Had a slow start, but once it gained momentum and got going, it established a new norm for cartridge design and

chamber dimensions.

They were tighter tolerances and they were refined for precision accuracy.

And a lot of the cartridges that have come on the heels of that,

the PRC family, especially the recent 7MPRC,

the 6.8 Western and so forth have followed this new design parameter. On the

bullet side these new cartridges have fostered new design as well and I've got a

good friend a long-time friend of mine on a Zoom call here with me today.

pretty cool new developments at Barnes. Oh well thank you we're excited excited to be

here talk about some of these new products we We've been working hard on one in particular and I think we've got something pretty special so we're excited to share some information about it.

You bet. One thing I've loved about Barnes for so many years is how responsive you and your team are to

consumer requests you know I a couple years, I probably did an annoying thing and encouraged

our listeners to write handwritten letters to Mike Painter there at Barnes, requesting

a 280 Actly improved load. And by golly, a few months later,

Mike says, all right, we're building it.

And there is now that 152 grain LRX bullet

factory load, you offer as well in component bullet form specifically designed for the 280 Ackley.
