This week's guest, Tracy Brabion, has been in before when we grabbed you, didn't we?

Indeed.

From the, just walking past during Shoulder's, which we'll probably get on to briefly later,

because it's far from the most interesting thing about your political career,

perhaps the most interesting thing about your political career, is that it's your second career.

Indeed. Indeed. Three decades have been an actor and a writer, never really anticipating going into politics,

but fate meant that here I am.

But you were political.

Was it, I mean, were you political growing up?

Not really, but I think all of the things that helped me get on and get into acting and so on,

were all about my background.

So growing up on a council estate in Batley.

Not immediately, I think.

Because your dad lost his job, didn't he?

Yeah, yeah.

We were quite we, me and my sister.

Right.

And my dad was a really great salesman.

And he saw all sewing machines and all sorts of things. And he was really well and we bought a house in Connecticut Close and then he lost his job and then he wasn't working and my mom just handed in the keys to the building society and we were basically throwing ourselves on the mercy of the local authority and it is quite a vivid memory
