Yesterday it was clear blue skies and the birds were just singing their heart out.

It's got a wee bit quieter, I think, today.

They're a bit more subdued to say, you know, well, I'm to the summer.

But I did have a lovely moment yesterday.

I was editing a piece for a programme and suddenly a swallow appeared in the study beside me.

Wow.

And just perched on the curtain rail and watched me for a while, and then flew around the room,

did a couple of droppings on the city, and then left.
