On March 12th of this year, after completing his shift at work, in Baltimore, Abrago Garcia picked up his five-year-old son from his grandma's home. He had his son in the back seat

when he was pulled over by ice and an ICE officer told him that his status had changed,

meaning his immigration status had changed. And so within minutes, Garcia was handcuffed, he was detained.

His wife was called and instructed to appear within 10 minutes to get their son.

And she was told that his son would be handed over to child protective services if she didn't appear.

And then Abrao Garcia was whisked away.

No explanation was provided as to why he was being detained exactly or what was happening.

Within three days, he was on a plane being deported to El Salvador.
