welcome to Truth's table, midwives of culture for Grace and Truth.

I'm a Kimmany, and I'm actually the only one at this table today.

Christina and Michelle are not with me today. We actually decided to do a little something special this weekend for you all. From time to time, we plan on

releasing some of our work. As you know, we, the three of us really position ourselves into the anti-racism spaces.

And so that's what my work centers on and I have a passion for that because I believe that the

image of God is assailed when racism and white supremacy reign in America and those things ought not be.

And so my passion is to see the image of God expressed in blackness and loved for what it is and

declared good because God declares it to be good and And so with a lot of my work, I like to interact

with sociology and history and obviously theology as well.

Systematic theology is my favorite subject.

And so when I'm interacting with history and sociology,

I recognize that those practitioners are not working with, are not consciously,

I should say, working with theological categories such as sin, such as the Amagode, such as eschatology, okay?

And so those are categories that I was actually trained in and understand and went to school for.

And so I like to marry theology with sociology and history and all those things.

So I often interact with works from renowned sociologists or historians.

And so we thought here at Truz Table that it would be good for us to release some of our work just so you can get even more acquainted with our own ministries and what we do.

So you'll be hearing some of our work from time to time and we thought we'd release this one.

I am going to release the Respectability Politics Re- Imagine talk that I gave at LDR 2016.

So this is in preparation for LDR 2017.

So if you were not there last year, you can get a bit of a taste of what you might get there at LDR this year.
