Steve, this is Thursday, but it's going out Friday. We're pre-recording this one.

0:04.8

So I'll be early, but on time, as this is released, and say happy birthday.

0:10.7

I appreciate it, man. Getting, like we talked about the day, getting older, but don't feel like it, man, still.

0:17.1

Yeah. Young and spry. Hopefully, I wonder how long that lasts.

0:22.8

Well, especially lately, you said how you've been, you know, hiking and riding, and you've just feel like a physical specimen right now.

0:28.4

So that's good thing, man. Turning 36, but feeling like you're, you know, a good place.

0:33.6

Yeah, I was always like, I remember, you know, in my late 20s, early 30s, when I was, like, really, really rocking shape, and

0:41.2

I was always proud, right? Like, I'm way better shape now than when I was 20 years old. Like I, I could kick my 20-year-old ass,

0:47.0

like hiking up a hill or something like that. So that's a good thing to say. Better than the, the opposite of,

0:53.2

my rifle build, and some follow-up questions on that, which we'll get to.

1:17.8

But let's, let's tackle this pack question first.

1:20.7

Um, as Gavrodin says, he just purchased a 4,800 and previously he's had some K2 packs.

1:28.2

He said one thing he has always noticed and wondered about is why exo bags are narrow at the bottom.

1:35.2

He talked about his sleeping bag and he puts it in a stuff sack and it kind of barely fits in the bottom of the bag because it's narrow.

1:41.2

So he's wondering what is the reasoning for that?

1:44.6

Um, yeah, it's all about weight distribution. We talk all the time about, um, you know, having, having the, when you're loading a pack, whether it's just the gear inside of it or, or putting meat in there, having the bulk of the weight up between your shoulder blades is the ideal scenario.

2:03.6

And so we naturally in the design of the pack do those things to keep the bulk of the weight up there, right?

2:10.5

So yeah, in a perfect world, yeah, you've got this nice fluffy down sleeping bag you put in the bottom of that.

2:15.6

But when you're day hunting, if the bottom of the bag is just kind of as wide as it is in the middle of it, everything's just going to want to naturally just slide all the way down to the bottom.
