Ah, what a bummer.

Thursday night turned into a real bummer and obviously not because of who you were rooting for or the

score or the fantasy results.

One of the league's most fun offenses took a terrible blow to a Tunga vialoa in the third quarter.

Obviously frustrated by the proceedings to that point and trying to do too much on a fourth down in the red zone, scrambled up the middle, he had the first down,

all he had to do is slide.

But in his mind and probably in our mind,

to a concussion's problems that we remember from a couple years ago feel like a little longer ago than they actually were and therefore he goes face first trying to make sure he gets the first down and

smashes directly into DeMar Hamlin who clearly did nothing wrong.

Toa takes a big blow to his head and you see his fingers do that fencing thing again and immediately we know what we're

dealing with. Would every player have been concussed under such circumstances. Hard to know that. My suspicion is

kind of no, but I guess it doesn't really matter because Tua, whose career seemed very much

in jeopardy two years ago because of a couple of awful concussions that happened in relatively rapid succession separated by

What felt at the time like the Dolphins being a little cavalier with his health.

Hard for me to imagine we're going to see him in 10 days for week three

and hard for me to imagine we're going to see him much at all for a good long while.

Though as of my recording this early on a Friday morning we don't have any indication.
