Last year was the 50th anniversary of 1968 and the massive anti-authoritarian

riots, demonstrations and occupations around the world.

This year is going to be the 50th anniversary of something perhaps equally momentuous, Neil Armstrong's historic landing

on the moon, a moment which, despite the looming nuclear war

and the militaristic overtones of the Cold War and the space race united all of

humanity in the hopes of a collective better future.

But today I think 50 years later we're clearly in a much worse spot.

I saw a great example of this on April 12th

when the bear a sheet and unmanned craft

crashed into the surface of the moon.
