Hello, I'm Chris Thomas, and I'm again in the lovely Mormon stories studio with my good friend, Dr. John DeLinn,

and we are here for another interview with the one and only Sandra Tanner.

Today, we are going to be talking about a number of people that Sandra

knew over the course of her life. Many of these have been mentioned in passing here and there in the archival interviews of Mormon stories of Sandra Tanner

that John DeLynn has conducted over the years.

But would like to kind of pull all those together and talk about them a little bit in more detail.

As I said to Sandra, the Dr. Seuss book,

Oh, the Places You'll Go. Well, we can entitle this, oh, the people you'll know. Because these

interactions, some of them very brief, others of them more extensive, are just amazing to me. It's not unusual for

Sandra and I to have late night phone conversations that will last from one to two hours. And it's

not that we have no more to say. We are just exhausted by that point. And so from our vantage point, this is just

one of those conversations that we are going to sort of get on the record to hear from

Sandra. And Dr. John DeLynn is gracious enough to allow us to do that here and to record that.

Sandra, that may reflect on John not being quite as smart as we thought he was,

but nonetheless, we are very much in his debt.

So Sandra, very glad that you've agreed to sit for this, and thanks so

much for being here today. Well, it's been good visiting. Yeah. We've already had quite a

remarkable conversation before this conversation. And so I want us to begin a little bit counterintuitively because I want to start with somebody you didn't personally know.

I think by this point everybody in the world knows that you are the great, great granddaughter of Brigham Young.

Yes.

And they know a fair amount about Brother Brigham.

Yes.
