That evening, Cheriece had gone to walk her dogs as she normally did, but shortly after

6.30 p.m. she was found unresponsive in a pool of blood.

Her German shepherds were still with her.

When police arrived, they discovered that Cherie's had been shot in the chest.

The gun that was used belonged to her.

As investigators began the investigation into this mysterious murder,

they started to focus on a suspect who was eventually arrested.

But they never stood trial for the murder.

Investigators were positive they had found their killer.
