On this episode of Black Girl Gone, I tell the story of Taylor Robinson from

Akron, Ohio, who was 19 years old when she was murdered. On May 3rd, 2013, Taylor's

mom dropped her off for her overnight shift at a home where she worked as a

home health aide. But when her client's mother returned home the next morning,

Taylor was gone, and no one ever saw her again. Four months later, her skeletal

remains were found in a park. But 10 years later, the person responsible for

whatever happened to Taylor has never been found, and her family is still

desperately searching for answers. This is Taylor's story. For the family of

Taylor Robinson, the past almost 10 years of their lives have been consumed by

their quests to find her killer. Before she was murdered, she was a bright young

woman with her whole life ahead of her, yet her promising future was cut short

by a brutal and senseless act. Despite a frantic search for answers, her

killer has never been found. Her family has made it their life's mission to

find justice for her, persevering through countless dead ends and frustrating

roadblocks. Despite the passage of time, they have never given up hope that one

day, the killer will be brought to justice, and Taylor's memory will be

honored. Taylor was born on January 28, 1994 in

Akron, Ohio. As a child, her family described her as, quote, unquote, a busy
