Update

US Marshal's fugitive Raymond McLeod has been arrested in El Salvador.

Since 2016, he's been wanted for the murder of 30-year-old Crystal Mitchell in San Diego, California.

The search for McLeod was profiled in our episode Wanted for Murder.

Josephine Funez-Wenzel, Crystal's mother and grandmother to Crystal's two children,

worked tirelessly with authorities to track down her daughter's killer.

I want McLeod caught.

It would bring peace to her children to know that justice was served

and that the person who took their mother away is behind bars paying for it.

I have no doubt in my mind that this man is killed again.

He's a monster.

He needs to be stopped.

After Crystal's murder in 2016, authorities believe McLeod fled south

through Mexico to Central America.

His last reported locations were in Guatemala in 2017 and Belize in 2018.

The US Marshal's intensified their manhunt for the former Marine,

added McLeod to the US Marshal's 15 most wanted list and offered a reward of $50,000

for information leading to his capture.

When he took over the case in 2016, US Marshal Chief Frankie Sanchez stated,

�It makes me sick that somebody like this individual can do something like this to another human being

and think you can get away with this.

Think you could run to another country and get away.
